Maybe. A local news channel is reporting about a number of movies currently using Portland as their stage. Plus, Daniel Baldwin (yes, one of those Baldwin brothers) might base an entertainment production company in Portland.
I lived in Hawai’i during the filming of “Magnum, P.I.,” the television series starring Tom Selleck. Yes, sometimes filming disrupted neighborhoods. Yes, sometimes filming delayed traffic. But seeing show business in action was always kind of exciting. And it is a “business,” no doubt about that.
